Carbfix and Removr team up for Direct Air Capture and Storage in Iceland

Removr has signed Heads of Terms with Carbfix, the leading provider for permanent mineral carbon storage. Carbfix will employ its technology to permanently store 100,000t of CO2 per year from Removr’s large-scale Direct Air Carbon Capture plant which is expected to start operations in Iceland in 2027.

Removr, a Norwegian company that removes CO2 directly from the atmosphere to fight climate change, has received NOK 36.3 million in governmental backing for an industrial-scale pilot.
